No one at Wolakota Advisors is interested in selling you insurance, stock, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, limited partnerships or anything else.  Our compensation comes exclusively from a fee.  The psychotherapist gets paid by fee and this at least suggests that your interest comes first.  The same is true when you pay a fee instead of a commission.  And unlike your average broker, I subscribe and adhere to a Fiduciary Oath which specifically promises you that we will put your interests ahead of our own and we will pro-actively bring even potential conflicts-of-interest to your attention so you can make an informed choice in the matter.  Finally, “fee-only” means that recommendations have a higher chance of being objective.  I don’t have to worry which investment pays me most!
